Whole House Media Filter

Do you remember the last time you changed your air filter? If your answer is longer than one month, then you are probably costing yourself money and hurting the longevity of your system. At Jackson Services, we believe it is imperative to maintain a healthy system and frequently replace your filters. For this reason, we are offering $25 off of a Honeywell Whole House Media Air Filter and free coil cleaning during the time of install..

Air filters do exactly as their name depicts, by filtering the air that passes through your system and trapping particulates such as mold, dust, pollen, and pet hair. Without an air filter, the particles and debris have nothing to pass through, so they cling to the coil and restrict airflow. Inadequate air flow will cause the operation of your system to decline, while energy consumption increases. The absence of a filter will also cause particulates to escape into the air resulting in more allergy related issues.

Media filters are typically larger, providing more surface area for filtration, and enabling proper airflow. They have a higher efficiency rating, making it more effective at trapping large and small particles and producing cleaner air. They require replacements once or twice a year, as opposed to the monthly recommendation for standard filters. Although standard one inch filters are the most common, they are not the most effective. Standard filters need to be changed once a month to maintain proper function. They provide the protection that the inside of your system needs, but the low efficiency rating indicates that it is less effective at filtering larger particulates.
